ChatGPT and The Mind RSVP Form
RSVP to ChatGPT and the Mind with Dr. Gary Lupyan, on April 20th at 6:00PM, we have decided to change the event location due to unexpected levels of interest. The event will now take place in Mosse Humanities Building in room 2650. As always Humanities is difficult to navigate, so we've included some directions with photos here, to help you find the event. Thanks!

Gary Lupyan — cognitive scientist and professor of psychology — will discuss what the successes (and failures) of generative AI can tell us about the human mind, intelligence, and possible futures of human-machine interaction.

For context, we invite you to watch Professor Lupyan's debate with Yann Lecun (Meta AI), Ellie Pavlick (Google AI), David Chalmers (NYU) and others, before the talk on Thursday. "Do Language Models Need Sensory Grounding for Meaning and Understanding"

You are also welcome to submit questions to Professor Lupyan by filling out this form prior to the event.
