#cultivateculture Now that #modeloespecial has surpassed #budlight to become the #1 beer brand in the U.S., marketers need to take notice of this compelling case study that embraces its cultural heritage at its core. The brand remains deeply rooted in its Mexican heritage, attracting not only its core Mexican-skewed, multiethnic, and racially diverse Latino consumers but also successfully broadening its appeal to upwardly mobile, second-generation Latinos and capturing non-Hispanic white beer drinkers who are looking to trade up to imported and craft beers. By cultivating culture, Modelo touches on a universal human trait - the drive to fight, to survive, and to become - deeply rooted in the Hispanic psyche. According to Greg Gallagher, Vice President, Brand Marketing, Beer Division, Constellation, Modelo's broadening appeal is attributed to the emotional connection people make with the brand. Their 'brewed with a fighting spirit' marketing campaign includes the tagline: 'It doesn't matter where you came from, it matters what you're made of.' "Since 2013 Constellation Brands acquired the exclusive rights to import and market Modelo, the Mexican pilsner beer has been on the rise, ranked as America’s fastest growing beer brand in 2016, according to USA Today’s analysis of shipment volumes from Beer Marketer’s Insights." Modelo House is a testament to the power of inclusivity, showcasing a winning strategy that fosters meaningful brand growth. #cultivatemeaningfulgrowth #marketing #growth #culture #strategy #semillamulticultural https://lnkd.in/eBnajYKq

Here's why I bought this beer. On Mountain Culture's Instagram page, the co-owner, Harriet, released a video announcing their annual release of Yellow Brick Road. Now, I am a big fan of this brewery and didn't know this was a thing. So immediately, I wanted to find out what I was missing out on. Harriet went on to tell the story behind the beer. After she had just given birth to their first daughter, Dorothy, DJ, her partner, went back to the brewery and created this beer. Yellow Brick Road. She teared up a little while telling the story and seeing her daughter a little more grown up on the can. So, now there is an emotional connection to this beer. Lastly, she mentioned how quickly the Yellow Brick Road beers sell out, so they have made an extra batch. Translation: I needed to buy these beers immediately once they hit the website. Was I going to buy this beer anyway? It's highly likely. But the storytelling ensured I purchased it instantly instead of hopefully grabbing it from the shelf at the local liquor store. I highly recommend checking out the Reel on Instagram and grabbing one of these beers too. It's pretty damn good. #storytelling #digitalmarketing #contentmarketing #marketingtips

Forbes Best Beer Books Of The Year has awarded First Place to 'Ted Mack and America's First Black-Owned Brewery: The Rise and Fall of Peoples Beer' by Clint Lanier. "Beer has existed as long as society has. Often, the history of people can be linked to the history of beer. Written by Clint Lanier, assistant professor of English at New Mexico State University, this NAGBW-winning book tells the story of Ted Mack, who was born a sharecropper, but would eventually purchase the Peoples Brewing Company of Oshkosh, WI. Extensively researched and beautifully written, this book is as much about overcoming hardship and entrepreneurism as it is about beer." @forbes Available for purchase on Amazon. Crack a beer and read a book🍻

Beer Cool, Not Cold-How at Brau! I have always thought beer is cool but increasingly I believe we need to get away from our obsession with cold. Serving temp is another topic but it is possible to brew very high quality beer without the beer ever getting truly cold. Cask beer forms an unusual but useful example of what is possible: · Short brew cycles (~7 days brew to pack for cask) · Simple equipment requirements · Live beer style with a large impact on the stabilisation requirements · Warmer serving temperatures typical (changing the flavour profile) · "Cool brewing"- Typically the beer never goes below 6֯C I don’t expect cask beer to take over the world, but I do think lessons can be learned and incorporated into brewing operations elsewhere. Come chat about how at Brau! Hall 1 Stand 438 Yes, we will be serving some great examples of cask beer on our stand for inspiration. BrauBeviale #brewing #event Murphy & Son Ltd

CEO and Co-Founder of; Seaboard Craft Beer Holdings - Big Storm Brewery and Distillery, Fat Point Brewing Co, and Blood Brothers Bloody Mary Mix / Boston Capital Leasing / InstantKegs.com
🌩️ Hey LinkedIn Community! 🍻 As some of you might know, we at Big Storm Brewing Co. have been on an exciting journey. Over the past three years, we've expanded beyond brewing to embrace the art of distilling spirits. It's been an amazing ride, and now we're at a crossroads about our brand identity. We're contemplating a name change to better reflect our dual passion for brewing and distilling, and we'd love to hear your thoughts! Here are some ideas we've been brewing up: (1) Stick with Big Storm Brewing Co (obviously doesn't tell the story of what we do beyond beer), (2) Transition to Big Storm Brewing and Distilling Co. (long, wordy, and god for bid what happens when we launch cider in 2024), (3) Drop the products entirely and only go as Big Storm, (4) some hybrid of the words like Big Storm BrewStillery (met with a lot of hate internally lol). But hey, these are just our initial thoughts. We're open to suggestions and would love to hear any creative ideas you might have. What name (listed above or entirely new) do you think captures the essence of our expanded venture(s)? Your insights and opinions are incredibly valuable to us. After all, it's not just about a name; it's about the story we're telling and the community we're building. Drop your suggestions, thoughts, or any wild ideas in the comments. tagging some of our trade associations in case someone knows another company that went through this conversation as their insight would be very helpful. Brewers Association American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA) American Distilling Institute Looking forward to some great conversations! Cheers! 🥃🍺 #BigStormBrewery #NameChange #CommunityFeedback #BrewingAndDistilling #CraftSpirit #CraftBeer
