Tamia Fowlkes (BA '22) is a Public Investigator Reporter for The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, focusing on accountability and local policymaking. Her work includes producing investigations addressing challenges in Wisconsin and Greater Milwaukee, covering education, housing barriers, health violations, business malpractice, harassment, and environmental issues. Tamia has earned numerous prizes and achievements, including being featured on Teen Vogue for her writing and being a Public Service Pulitzer Prize Finalist for powerful coverage that exposed an unknown epidemic of electrical fires. Most recently, Tamia has been appointed to the Milwaukee Press Club Endowment Board, where she aims to contribute to the organization's goals of advancing journalism and supporting the next generation of journalists through scholarships, internships, and awards.
