The Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) offers full tuition for advanced degrees in Medicine, Dental, Veterinary, Nursing, Counseling, and Optometry. It also covers books, equipment, and fees, provides a monthly stipend of $2,700+, a sign-on bonus up to $20,000, and Officer’s pay for 45 days of active duty training. Salary increases with promotions, time in service, and cost-of-living adjustments.

If you are currently enrolled in or planning to attend medical, dental, optometry, or clinical psychology school, the U.S. Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) can cover tuition for up to four years. Additionally, you will receive a monthly stipend of $2,728 directly to you. The Navy also covers all required fees, expenses, books, and equipment for your professional school.

The Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the Medical College of Wisconsin has launched a mentorship initiative called Mentoring and Advocating for Physician-Scientists (MAPS). This program pairs MSTP students with college students interested in STEM or healthcare careers. Its mission is to empower and support students from underrepresented, first-generation, and non-traditional backgrounds in medicine.

The humanities are about the human experience, and this certificate will give you exposure to a range of historical, cultural, and philosophical reasons why people make decisions about their health care. Everyone who comes in contact with the health care system, from health care providers to patients, needs to understand more than just the biological aspects of medicine in order to support health and wellness.
